to Robin's Nest from Auckland Follow road signage to Whangarei, approximately 2 hours north on 'State Highway 1'. Continue north from Whangarei for 23kms until BP Whakapara service station. Cross railway bridge, turn right at Oakura sign (onto the Old Russell Road). Travel approximately 1/2 hour then turn right at the "Oakura" sign to reach Oakura beach waterfront. When you reach the waterfront, turn left and follow road along shoreline. At the end of the road veer left up hill and turn right at the private road at the top of the hill. Robin’s Nest sign will be visible on the right. |
